The most iconic eyewear shape ever that lends femininity and eccentricity to the look it frames. Born out of American designer Altina Schinasi’s belief that eyeglasses displayed in opticians’ stores were ugly and boring, the cat-eye shape is inspired by the harlequin mask with upturned corners. Once again, ideas in eyewear dwell in the Veneto and the magic of Venice, which Schinasi frequented and knew well. Abandoned a bit after having starred on the faces of the movie divas of the 50s and 60s, the Cat-Eye shape has returned and is now evergreen. Today it is also declined in nogender, classic, colorful, extreme, avantgarde, and oversize versions.
