Top-Down, come una linea neanche tanto immaginaria che unisce il Nord Europa al Mediterraneo, la Terra d’Albione all’Italico stivale o, più nel dettaglio, la coloratissima e multietnica eccentricità retrò di Camden Lock a Londra, con la tradizione, la passione e l’artigianalità tipica della fascia prealpina del vicentino, il Cadore.
Ma Top-Down anche come “dalla testa ai piedi”, dagli occhiali alle scarpe, non un Total Look… Piuttosto un accostamento estroso ed elegante, moderno e vintage, l’utilizzo dell’accessorio a completamento ed esaltazione dell’insieme.
Mi lascio ispirare dall’aria londinese che ancora abita nei miei pensieri e da un accessorio che mi ha conquistata al primo sguardo: scarpe artigianali romantiche e vezzose disegnate e curate nei minimi dettagli.
Si possono abbinare gli occhiali alle scarpe? Mi sono chiesta quando le ho viste. Perché no!
Un Total Black spezzato alle due estremità da colori caldi e decisi: un look che abbraccia la figura dal viso all’estremità opposta, come a dire sono così dalla testa ai piedi: Top-Down!
Colori caldi e cangianti con la montatura in acetato e aggiuntivo di metallo con doppio ponte e lenti specchiate. Abbiamo due possibilità: possiamo graduare le lenti nella montatura lasciandole chiare e utilizzare la clip aggiuntiva con agganci laterali che dona un tocco glamour, oppure scegliere lenti fotocromatiche all-day-long di base leggermente specchiate quando sono chiare e con un bel colore deciso al sole.
Le sfumature blu-violacee della montatura mi hanno suggerito un tocco originale se optiamo per lenti specchiate azzurrate.
Non basta? Nessun problema: basta cambiare il verso della nostra linea immaginaria e collegare Londra a New York, due città diametralmente opposte nell’anima – ma intimamente simili – per creare uno stile forse un po’ più classico per quanto sempre sofisticato, personale e accattivante.
Scegliamo una montatura con due sfumature in nuance: una lastra degradante con il punto di colore più deciso sulla linea di sguardo e più chiara verso il basso. Perché non ricreare la stessa sfumatura sulle labbra?

Top-Down, like a not so imaginary line connecting Northern Europe to the Mediterranean, England to Italy or, more specifically, the colorful and multiethnic eccentricity of Camden Lock in London, with the tradition, passion and craftsmanship typical of the pre-Alps of Vicenza, Cadore. But also top-down as a head to toe “Spectacled to Shoes”, not a Total Look … Rather a fanciful and elegant approach, modern and vintage, the use of an accessory to specify the overall look.
I let myself be inspired by the London air that is still creeping in my thoughts, and by an accessory that won me at first glance: handcrafted shoes, romantic and charming, designed and conceived to the smallest details.
“Is it possible to combine shoes and glasses”? I wondered when I saw them. “Why not”!
A Total Black broken at both ends by warm and strong colors: a look that embraces the figure from the opposite end face, as if to say “That is me” from head to toe: Top-Down!
Warm and changing colors pinpoint the acetate frame refined by metal, with double bridge and mirrored lenses. We have two choices: we can grade the lenses in the frame leaving them transparent and use the additional clip with side clips, which gives a touch of glamour, or choose photochromic lenses all-day-long, slightly mirrored when they are pale, and with a beautiful color when the sun shines.
The frame blue-violet shades suggested me with an original touch, if we decide to go for the mirrored pale-blue lenses.
It is not enough? Not a problem: just change the target of our imaginary line to connect London to New York, two diametrically opposite cities in the spirit – but still very similar – to create a style a bit more classic but still very sophisticated, personal and appealing.
Let’s take a frame with two shades in nuance: a tone-down glass sheet with stronger color on the sight line getting clearer towards the bottom. Why not to recreate the same shade on the lips?
